Roy Tyler is renowned for his passion in Media Control, the people, its clients and the excellent service it provides.
Roy started in the commissioning industry at the age of 17 as an assistant and by the time he was 21, he was a fully qualified commissioning engineer. After working 9 years at Esterbell he moved on to C.M.L to continuing with his learning to eventually work on large contacts at commissioning management level.
This led to Roy establishing Media Control in 1991, 27 years ago in partnership with Steve Smallbone. The company has gone from strength to strength with Media Control becoming a name that is trusted for its quality service within the Commissioning industry.
Building on the success of the company Roy started the Commissioning Management side of the business 6 years ago and the company has and continues to this day to work on some of the most impressive and high profile building in and around London.
Roy is keen on ensuring the next generation of commissioning engineers gets the best qualifications and because of this is now the Vice Chairman of the CSA, (Commissioning Specialist Association) and is helping change the face of the Association. Roy’s work with the CSA is improving the standards and ensuring they are always two steps ahead within the commissioning industry.
When Roy has any free time, he enjoys spending time socialising with his employees, playing golf and being with his family.
